I am registered Counselling Psychologist with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), with extensive training in a range of psychological approaches and models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), the Attachment Theory, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I have over 20 years' experience working in mental health providing psychological assessments and treatments to adults and older adults in general hospital environment, psychiatric units, forensic setting and private practice.
Sessions are offered in English and Italian.
Areas of interest
My main interests include mood and anxiety disorders, stress, grief, low self-esteem and trauma.
I work with clients offering both brief and longer-term therapy in a warm and supportive space in which to explore recent or more long-standing emotional suffering.
I do believe that through the establishment of a therapeutic relationship based on trust and genuineness we can work collaboratively focusing on the difficulties you are struggling with and the changes you wish to make. By assuming an attitude of curiosity, we will not only look at how your difficulties developed, but mainly at what maintains them, exploring and creating more helpful strategies and ways of living more meaningfully.
