Integrative, Psychosynthesis
BACP
My name is Mel and I am an experienced therapist trained in psychosynthesis and integrative psychotherapy and I work with people to help them understand more about their life and how to manage difficult feelings and experiences. I am a warm and empathic person used to supporting people on their emotional journey, looking to guide them toward a greater understanding of the issues faced in a safe and non-judgmental environment. My way of working is both authentic and kind, encouraging people to speak freely with a good sense of humour for those lighter moments.
You may have experienced trauma, have anxiety, be struggling with more existential questions about the climate or the future, whatever it is you bring to the room I will do my best to hold space for you to explore it all. I work with a wide range of clients from all backgrounds and have experience working with grief, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, attachment, amongst a wider range of experience, but I welcome enquiries from all. I also have a lot of experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community and really understand what it is like to feel othered within society. In working with me I will look to encourage you to be present, consider how your past experiences have influenced and impacted you, but also consider how to move beyond them as an identity and rather as a part of you. Psychosynthesis is a creative model that allows for guided visualisations and drawing to really work with the here and now should clients be open to this, however, the key thing is that I work relationally and so this means that our work has meaning and I take great care to ensure you will feel safe and heard when we work together whilst maintaining a place of no judgment.
