Psychodynamic, Psychoanalytic, Integrative
BACP
I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor, offering both short and long term therapy, as well as one-off consultations, depending on your needs and reasons for coming to therapy. I provide a confidential and non-judgemental environment within which you can begin to explore and make sense of what is troubling you.
Therapy is very much an individual process, so there are no one-size-fits-all answers or solutions. It is about us designing your therapy together to suit your specific needs, and help you engage in a way that feels natural to you. We could start with a telephone conversation to talk about what you are seeking help with and ask me any questions that you may have about therapy and the way that we would work together.
I believe in drawing on a combination of therapeutic approaches and I have worked in the Criminal Justice System, the NHS, and the Creative Arts, where I have gained experience in helping a wide range of people from all different walks of life.
I have considerable experience in working with:
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
Depression
Work-related stress
Traumatic experiences
Bereavement
Relationship issues
Separation, divorce, affairs/infidelity
Loss of focus / direction
Sexual & body image difficulties
Unexplained physical symptoms (psychosomatic symptoms)
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to their ethical framework of good practice.
Relevant Qualifications
MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy, University of London
Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision Skills, Approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
I attend Continuous Professional Development Courses to explore different therapeutic approaches and I am also interested in contemporary ideas informed by Neurobiology.
